ZF series sand gravel pump,shaft seal is packing and clear water seal,its parts and function instruction are as following:

1. Clear water injection pipe for seal:water injection pressure should be above 1kg than pump working pressure,which will be a high pressure clear water area to seal between stuffing box(packing room) and impeller.

2. stuffing box:named packing box,first install packing ring in packing room,then put into several circles of packing

3. Split type packing gland:installed on shaft sleeve outside and stuffing box entrance,compress the packing to suitable position with two pieces bolts through packing gland.

4. Shaft sleeve:abrasion resistant high chrome alloy material,installed outside of the pump shaft and inside of stuffing box,which make friction between shaft sleeve outside and packing,the clear water seal will prolong shaft sleeve lifetime.

5. Disassembled ring:there are three parts for it,installed between shaft sleeve and water retaining plate,please remove the three bolts on it when dismantle pump,then remove the three parts with hammer in order to dismantle the impeller;

6. Water retaining plate:installed between front bearing gland and disassembled ring,its excircle and bearing gland forms labyrinth joint which will prevent the slurry spilling from stuffing box into the bearing box.

7. Oil injection hole:inject lubricating oil into bearing box through it.

8. Oil level window:please add oil level between above middle line and under 20mm when make sure pump base parrallel to the ground.

9. Cooling pipe:the oil case is with cooling system,which cool bearing box outside and support frame oil case inside in order to prolong bearing lifetime.

10. inlet outlet steel pipe for cooling:total 2 piece,any one can be inlet or outlet.

11. Bearing box:control the back bearing on frame support with back bearing gland,can adjust the impeller gap with the 8 pieces bolts on bearing box.
