Q. Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?

A. We are a professional DC submersible solar water pump manufacturer with more than 10 years experience in China.

Q. How do I know what power pump to buy?
A. There are two things to consider in choosing the horsepower: 1) What is your depth-to-water? And 2) How much water do you need per day? Every pump is designed to work in a specific range of depth-to-water. You need to choose a pump that is designed to work at your particular depth-to-water. Too high a horsepower pump could cavitate or at a minimum will draw too much power and run hot. Its life will be shortened in either case. If too low a horsepower pump is chosen, it simply might not get the water to the surface properly. The other consideration in horsepower is that higher horsepower pumps will move more water. The GPM flow rate will be greater. One thing should be considered is the pump must work in the reasonable lift, if overload the pump, the motor would be overheating and its life would be shortened.

Q. How to choose a proper size pump for my well?

A. The diameter of the well casing at least should be 1” bigger than the pump’s diameter.

Q. What's the difference between max lift and working lift?

A. Max lift means the flow rate will be 0 at that height because the pump's actual flow rate will be less and less as the working lift increases; recommended working lift is the reasonable height to get sufficient water.

Q. Can I test the pump without water?

A. The submersible pump’s motor and internal controller are immersion, the motor and controller will be overheating if there is no water go through them, therefore the pump should be fully submerged in water.

Q. How important is it to use a safety rope or cable?
A. We strongly recommend it. If one of the fittings in the drop pipe fails, or even if an installer gets slippery fingers, the safety rope or cable will be the only way to retrieve the pump from the bottom of the well. We recommend a good stainless steel cable rather than rope. Rope (even nylon rope) can degrade over time in the damp environment of a well.

Q. What kind of pipe do I use for a drop pipe to support the pump?
A. You can use 100 psi-rated polyethylene plastic pipe (poly pipe) for setting depths down to 100’. Use 160 psi rated poly polyethylene plastic pipe )poly pipe) for setting depths down to 220’. Use galvanized steel pipe for setting depths deeper than 220’. Schedule 80 PVC pipe can be used with threaded couplings at depths down to 500’. Use metal threaded couplings for setting depths below 300’. We recommend you never use regular Schedule 40 PVC.

Q. How to extend the pumps service life?

A. 1) Put the pump in proper depth range, make sure the pump isn’t overloaded. 2) Make sure the pump is fully submerged in water. 3) Make a sleeve for the pump as an extra strainer if the water contains too many impurities. 4) Check the pump’s intake and outlet regularly if the water is not very clean.

Q. What is your after-sales service?

A. If the pump fails because of quality problem, Please take some actual pictures and record a detailed video and send to Michael. We will deliver a new pump free after we verify them.
